Terms of Service

Effective May 20, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of NextReel's website at nextreel.tv, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by NextReel. Contact: support@nextreel.tv.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian. Kid profiles must be managed under an adult account.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and profiles.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the mobile app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. The Service

NextReel helps you discover movies and TV shows, track what you want to watch, see availability on streaming services and in theaters, and get personalized recommendations—including through ReelChat, our AI assistant.

Not a streaming provider. NextReel does not host or stream video content. Links and availability information may come from third-party sources (such as TMDB) and can be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm on the provider's site before watching or purchasing tickets.

Recommendations are informational. Suggestions from For You, ReelChat, or other features are for entertainment purposes and may not always match your preferences or be available in your region.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or our systems without authorization.
  • Scrape, crawl, or reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including via automated requests or abuse of APIs.
  • Upload malware, spam, or harmful content through feedback or chat features.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

6. ReelChat and AI features

ReelChat uses third-party AI models to generate responses. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Do not share sensitive personal information in chat. We may log and process your messages to operate and improve the feature, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

  • NextReel's name, logo, software, and original content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • Movie and TV metadata, posters, and related materials are owned by their respective rights holders and provided via licensed third-party sources (such as TMDB). NextReel is not endorsed by or affiliated with TMDB or content owners unless stated otherwise.
  • You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., feedback). You grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content to operate and improve the Service.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with and links to third parties (streaming platforms, YouTube, email providers, app stores, analytics, AI providers, and others). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Notifications

If you enable email or push notifications, you consent to receive messages about watchlist updates, new episodes, availability changes, and similar product alerts. You can adjust or disable notifications in Settings.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AVAILABILITY OR RECOMMENDATION DATA WILL BE ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEXTREEL AND ITS OPERATORS, SUPPLIERS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NextReel from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

15. Disputes

Before filing a formal dispute, please contact support@nextreel.tv so we can try to resolve the issue. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree that claims will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires a different venue.

16. General

  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and NextReel regarding the Service.
  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • You may not assign your account without our consent; we may assign these Terms as part of a business transfer.
